His total offspring earnings are in excess of $6,368,202.). He has washed the cutting pen in frosted coats, sheer talent, incredible trainability and ultra-cooperative minds.

PeptoSmart is out of Dox Cow Smart (1991 Will Roger Futurity 4YO Res. Champion; 1991 Abilene Western Cutting 3rd 4YO OP; 1993 NP 5 & 6YO NP money earner; 1993 Abilene Summer Spectacular 5 & 6YO NP finalist. Dam of offspring with earnings in excess of $77,900. She is full sister to Smart Little Lena) x Doc O'Lena (1970 NCHA Open Futurity Champion; #5 Leading Lifetime NCHA Sire; #22 Leading Lifetime NRHA Sire).


Peptosmart was trained and shown by Kobie Wood in the 2001 Futurity, missing the semi-finals by 1/2 point with a 432. In 2003, Peptosmart was Top Ten NCHA Derby Finalist and Top Ten AQHA Jr Cutting Finalist. He was Reserve Champion at the AQHA Jr Cutting in Houston in 2003. He is being shown by Keith Barnett. He now has earnings in excess of $40,000. Peptosmart has tremendous siring potential and should prove to be an exciting force in the breeding arena as well.

Peptosmart is 15 hands and weighs approximately 1100 lbs.

Peptosmart's first foal crop was 60% roan (red & blue). He now has paint and quarter babies all over the United States and one of his 07 babies will be going to France in January 2008. Another offspring, Peptos Smart Cat (photo on the right) aka Toby out of Jiggen Jem made the finals in his first Futurity. Also, Sugar Smart Boon Bar by Peptosmart was shown in the 2006 Futurity in Ft. Worth. He looked awesome but his first cow hurt his overall score. He has since gone on to win other competitons.

Peptosmart is producing very cowy and athletic foals with good minds, beautiful heads, great conformations and huge stops. We are subscribing him to most major cutting events so his offspring will be eligible to be shown in these events.
